I am Registered Dietitian who has been working at a family health team in Toronto for the last 10 years. I have a special interest in working with families and people with chronic conditions. I use a Health a Every Size® (HAES®) approach, where weight is not my focus. Instead, I value sustainable behaviour changes that help develop or improve relationships with food using Intuitive Eating. I focus on eating more whole, less processed foods and it's important to learn where our food comes from. I am currently obtaining my Masters of Education at University of Toronto.
A Registered Dietitian (RD) is an
expert in nutrition and can provide you with advice, education, and plans that relate to both food and a healthy lifestyle.
An RD has a university degree in Food and Nutrition and has done an internship after finishing a degree or has a Master’s Degree in Nutrition.
To practice in Ontario, RDs must be licensed by the College of Dietitians of Ontario.
